Woodbine has a warm, welcoming ambience that not only sounds good, but makes you feel relaxed and confident to play well.

The Control Room
Our control room is based around the beautiful Audient Asp8024 and Pro Tools HD 3 Accel, giving up to 128 tracks of 96 KHz/24 bit audio. We have available a selection of vintage transformers and valve mic-pre’s for that analogue crunch, or the Audient’s own pre’s for a super Hi-Fi sound.

Monitoring is provided by Klein & Hummel, Avantone, Quad, and 1000W Missions with 1000W subwoofer. The control room is acoustically designed and fully treated, ensuring our mixes are very portable and translate well into the real world.

We have a cool selection of outboard gear, a well stocked mic cupboard, a very large collection of industry standard plugins; all fully up to date and 100% legal and many gigabytes of sample libraries.

The Live Rooms
The main area is a versatile 31sqm, which includes a dead area for amp isolation, very close vocals etc. It has a warm, inviting feel. Built from the ground up to sound great, the acoustically designed ceiling and walls lend a great sounding ambience. In addition to everyday sounds we've achieved excellent results recording brass, string sections, 30 voice choir and marimba, glock and vibes, (notoriously difficult instruments!).

Conditioned mains power ensures that your instruments and amps sound as good as possible with no clicks. Silent ventilation keeps even the hottest sessions comfortable. Custom talkback and 3 circuit foldback ensure absolute comfort during tracking.

The Drum Room
The isolated 13.6 sqm wood panelled drum room, with our special back wall gives a very versatile drum sound with real kick in the low end. The inverted pyramid ceiling and diffusers ensure a very even reverb. It was custom designed and built for recording great drum sounds but is also excellent for BVs and acoustic instruments.

Coupled with our large selection of mic’s, a wide range of sounds is possible – from very dry, tight dance sounds to big roomy rock drums.

Accommodation
Accommodation is available on site at extra cost with: Kitchen / breakfast room / shower, TV rest area with one double and two single beds. Second bedroom with one double / one single bed. It's not the Ritz but it's cosy and comfortable. (Min. stay 1 week, Max 5 people).
